A family academy, on purpose
We believe martial arts is for everyone: every age, every fitness level, every starting point. Our job is changing lives one person at a time, and we take the 'one person' part literally.
Our story
Vortex Martial Arts has served Liberty Hill from our academy at 14745 W Hwy 29, Ste B since 2024, carrying forward a Vortex teaching lineage that goes back years in the north Austin area, including our original academy in Leander. Families from Liberty Hill, Leander, Bertram, Georgetown, and Florence train here today.
What we teach is a realistic, practical blend: traditional karate for structure and discipline, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for real-world confidence, and kickboxing for the fitness side. What we actually build is consistency: kids who set goals and keep them, teens with a positive place to push themselves, and adults who finally found the workout they don't quit.
What a first visit looks like
Every new family starts with a free VIP tour: about twenty minutes to see the facility, watch a class at your child's age level, meet the coaches, and get straight answers on schedule and pricing. No contract on the table, no hard sell. If we're not the right fit, we'll say so and point you somewhere that is.

The honest truth about choosing a martial arts school: the coach matters more than the style, the facility, or the website (including this one). That's why the tour exists. Come shake hands, watch how our instructors talk to the youngest kids on the mat, and judge for yourself.
